Employee Value Proposition Survey
The University's Employee Value Proposition (EVP) defines the unique value the university offers in exchange for the talent, contributions and commitment of its employees. This information can be used in a varaiety of ways to both improve employee retention and bolster talent attraction. The university continues to utilize data collected from our first employee value proposition survey in 2025 to build an EVP statement, adjust our talent acquisition strategies, and guide university decisions around enhancing our status as an employer of choice.
Survey Details:
- Timing: May 1, 2025 through May 16, 2025
- Audience: All employees at UAF (Faculty, Staff, Graduate Assistant, and Student Workers)
- Distribution: Emailed to all UAF employees
Actions Taken:
- The EVP helped to identify 3 critical talent segments and the drivers that speak most to potential employees in those segments. This has allowed for better messaging alignment when recruiting high-priority staff roles, the inital development of the university's employer brand, and improved content planning for future recruiting needs.
- An Employee Testimonial project is in development to help highlight employees across campus and showcases the stories they submitted as part of the EVP survey.
- The Office of Human Resources Talent Development team will continue the development of an EVP statement with plans to conduct focus groups and employee interviews for further refinement of the statement.
