Departmental Training And Facilitation
In order to improve departmental productivity and
effectiveness, the Employee Development Program is available to
facilitate departmental trainings, strategic planning, and/or retreats.
Facilitation
Identifying core values can help produce cohesion within a department
that is so necessary to working toward common goals. The development of
mission statements provides articulation of a common purpose within the
department. Strategic planning can provide an increased ability to
control long-range direction. The Employee Development Program
facilitates these processes through the use of exercises and discussion
designed to achieve goals. We seek the input of all effected members of
the department in order to make better decisions and to achieve buy-in
for decisions
Retreats
Time spent away from the office and its responsibilities can help
departments rejuvenate and provide some needed fun. Many departments on
campus hold annual departmental retreats and use the day to combine fun
with learning. The Employee Development Program can provide learning
experiences for your departmental retreats. Any training session we
offer through our training calendar is available as well as sessions
tailored to your learning objectives. True Colors, a personality
assessment tool, has been one of the most requested topics for
departmental retreats.
Training
Most departments will, at times, find the need for trainings that
present new information or refreshers for those activities that are
performed regularly. Working as a team, working with different
personality types, dealing with difficult people, and customer service
are a few of the topics we frequently present. We will meet with you for
a consultation and customize training to meet your specific needs.
