|Teamwork Series: Creating and Maintaining a Positive Team Attitude|
|Date/Time||Wednesday, March 28, 2012
2:30 PM - 5:00 PM
|Description||This Series will help you achieve positive teamwork outcomes in a constructive, productive environment.
This module will use interactive small-group exercises to demonstrate how a positive attitude toward teamwork can be created and maintained within a team. Participants will learn about team goals, task and maintenance roles, and different discussion attitudes. In that context, you will discuss where the different attitudes originate and how team members and leaders can maintain a constructive attitude throughout team tasks. Finally, you will practice how conflict, although sometimes unpleasant, can be harnessed to make the team more productive and more cohesive.
As team members, you will experience how maintaining a positive attitude toward the team goal and how to find the appropriate team role for yourselves makes team work pleasant and productive. As team leaders, you will learn how to craft and communicate a clear goal, how to make sure that every team member's strength is used to benefit the team, and how to turn conflict into a productive team force. Human resources professionals will benefit from creating and maintain positive attitudes for their own teams and training of others.
