College of Education and Health Professions

The University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, requests nominations and applications for the position of Associate Director of Development for the College of Education and Health Professions.

The Associate Director of Development for the College of Education and Health Professions helps to plan and works to implement the college's fund-raising priorities and institutional advancement activities. This position reports to the Director of Development of the College and is part of an overall university advancement program. The Associate Director of Development's primary responsibility is to secure private sector funding and to foster relationships for the College. The Associate Director will play an important role in assisting with the planning for and executing the College's fundraising program.
 
Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
- Two to three years full-time development, fundraising, or closely related work experience
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher)
- Possess advanced verbal and written communication skills and be able to confidently represent the university in a professional manner
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and computer technology skills
- A willingness to travel extensively on behalf of the College of Education and Health Professions and work irregular hours as needed, and coordinate travel for others
- Must work well in a team environment and respond respectfully to input from supervisors, division colleagues, and university leadership
- Must work confidently under pressure of deadlines and dollar goals
- Self-starter who regularly sets and achieves goals and works effectively alone and with a team

 
Preferred Qualifications: - Experienced in planning, facilitating, and advancing the interests of high-level volunteers (individually and through work on a committee) with great professionalism
- Experience in a capital campaign
- Familiarity with the role and mission of an education and health professions college
