GOAL

The goal of the University of Arkansas' Employee Service Award program is to acknowledge University employees who attain certain service milestones during each calendar year.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE:

Eligibility for service recognition is determined by the total number of years a non-faculty employee has worked for the University of Arkansas. The employee's years of service need not be continuous; however, only complete years in a non-student, hourly-appointed or regular appointed position of 50% or greater will be counted. These positions include classified, non-classified or administrator titles.

PROGRAM DETAILS

10 + YEARS OF SERVICE
Employees attaining 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, or 50 years of service during the calendar year are recognized collectively at the Employee Service Awards Banquet.

EMPLOYEE SERVICE AWARDS BANQUET

This annual celebration recognizes service award recipients with 10 or more years of service as well as the Employees of the Quarter, Employees of the Year, and full-time staff who have recently completed a degree program at the University of Arkansas. This year's banquet is scheduled for Tuesday, October 6, 2009. Chancellor David Gearhart and other University administrators will be joined by members of the Staff Senate and the award recipients' supervisors and guests in thanking these valued employees for their contributions, their accomplishments, and their years of service. Service award recipients will be presented with a certificate and their pre-selected gift of appreciation. These tokens of appreciation are in addition to the annual career service payments authorized by the State of Arkansas. The Employees of the Year receive a plaque and a monetary award.

Eligible employees and their immediate supervisors will be sent a formal invitation to the banquet in September. Administrators and supervisors are strongly encouraged to attend in support of the employees who are being honored.
