Description: The University of Arkansas invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the Graduate School and International Education.

The Dean reports directly to the Provost/Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and serves on the Academic Deans Group at the University of Arkansas. The Dean provides academic, intellectual, administrative, and fundraising leadership for the Graduate School. The Dean is responsible for the quality of graduate academic programs as well as the size, diversity, and caliber of the graduate student body.

The Dean also oversees a coordinated effort to enhance international education at the undergraduate, graduate, and faculty levels, which includes study abroad, international recruitment, admissions, and support programs for international students and scholars.

The University of Arkansas is the flagship, land-grant university in the State of Arkansas, offering more than 40 doctoral degrees and 80 master’s degrees, including 12 interdisciplinary graduate degrees. The University of Arkansas’ enrollment stands at 19,600 total students; nearly 3,800 of these are graduate students. Increasing diversity and graduate student enrollment to 5,000 by 2021 (through on-campus and distance education) is a top University priority.  
Minimum Requirements: Candidates must have an earned doctoral degree and qualify for appointment as a tenured professor. They must also possess knowledge of and close familiarity with graduate and interdisciplinary education as well as international programs.
