Diversity Awards Program
The Employee Development Program coordinates an awards program in order to reward
and recognize individuals and teams exhibiting outstanding commitment to diversity.
The program will use nominations and an independent judging committee to determine
the winners. Completion of the Diversity Certificate Program will be one of the
factors used in judging.
Diversity Awards Requirements
Diversity Awards will be named annually to be announced at the Employee
Awards Banquet in October. They are intended to recognize and
reward outstanding commitment to diversity by employees of the U of A Fayetteville.
The nominations deadline for diversity awards is August 1, annually.
- Individual
- Must have completed the certificate program
- Must be nominated (may nominate self)
- Must show a clear commitment to diversity on campus
- There must be supporting materials including a named reference.
- Team
- Certificate program completion by all members of the team is not necessary to qualify
(but of course helps)
- Must be nominated (may nominate own team)
- Must show a clear commitment to diversity on campus
- There must be supporting materials including at least one named reference.
- Incentives
- Recognition at the Employee Awards Banquet, on the Human Resources Diversity webpage,
and a letter to the recipient(s)' supervisor or department head
- Monetary ($500) for individual, ($2,500) for team
